When we first heard of the Surfside Condo collapse, we felt a deep sadness. For the victims, survivors and the families of those involved. These people are going through horrible pain that shouldn’t have to come WITH a pricetag. So we thought about it for about 3 minutes and decided that WE CAN HELP! Yes we are over on the other side of the state of Florida, but have great empathy for everyone involved in such a tragedy.
The people involved in this Miami Building Collapse need assistance! We here at PRIME do things differently, so instead of just getting a bunch of likes on facebook on some awareness posts, we wanted to step it up. We have joined forces to fundraise for Delivering Good, helping families and kids get the clothes, shoes, and other essentials they need to thrive.
We can make a difference in helping the survivors with necessary supplies. So can you. We are offering you the opportunity to be a part of PRIME in this effort. You can donate anything from a dollar to the remaining balance if you wish. Choice is yours. Every dollar counts in this surfside condo tragedy.

So follow along, you’ll be up to speed and helped someone in need today! And that’s what we call the PRIME way. Here we go…
A catastrophic building failure. About 150 people are missing. Many are found dead. This could go down as one of the deadliest accidental building collapse in American history. Rescue workers and search dogs have been searching through rubble for days. We first saw it on CNN, “Partial Building Collapse Near Miami“. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order to provide assistance for the families impacted by the collapse. Located on the north side of Miami Florida, this condo was built in 1981. 8777 Collins Avenue (Florida State Road A1A) was a
But there is good news, there are survivors. First hand accounts of the catastrophe said they were woken up around 1:30 in the morning. All the alarms are going off. There was falling debris all around them. Everyone said the ground was shaking underneath their feet. It must have been terrifying. Crews continue to search as they probe for sounds from underneath the rubble.
Search and rescue workers have recovered the bodies of 27 people in the Surfside Condo Collapse. Workers continued, in relentless 12-hour shifts. Tirelessly sifting through the rubble and listening for signs of life in the search for possible survivors. As the search for survivors continues, authorities have begun to release the identities of the deceased:
With the threat of dangerous weather looming, officials and rescue crews were increasingly concerned about the safety of those searching the rubble and the potential the rest of the structure would collapse. Surfside Mayor Charles Burkett said, “It appears as though the approaching storm may have been a blessing in disguise for us in that it initiated the demolition discussion. We want to make sure that we control which way the building falls and not a hurricane, so all of this together I think ended up being a good thing.”
We decided to work with Delivering Good, a great organization that unites retailers, manufacturers, foundations and individuals to provide people impacted by the Miami Building Collapse. They deliver merchandise, effectively distributed through a network of agency partners to offer hope, dignity and self-esteem to at-risk children, families and individuals. The families and survivors need our assistance!
The past several years, major catastrophic natural disasters, increasingly powerful in their devastation, have left a lasting impact on affected communities. Through the years, Delivering Good has been committed to assisting and supporting impacted communities for the days, weeks, months and years after our initial distribution of goods.
